Which way will you vote in the EU Referendum?

Which way will you vote in the EU Referendum?

www.darkolitricks.com.

As the debate rages around the UK on whether we should leave or stay in the EU. The question is are people really thinking for themselves or are they just believing all the crap that the daily rags tell them to?

We have owners of multiple papers who live offshore most of the year just to get out of paying their fair share of UK tax, telling us tax payers what to do. Is this really fair? It’s just the rich elite who are always going to go from strength to strength as long as no-one stands up to them enforcing their will on the people as they always do.

Will people who vote actually make a real decision or will they be swayed like the US electorate always is to vote for the person with the biggest smile, angriest most bullish comments and plans to “restore America to greatness” as if it had suddenly become a third world country without the biggest economy and military in the world?

So the BREXIT referendum all rests on whether people believe the “deal” Cameron brought back was worth the paper it was written on or not.

To me Cameron’s “Deal”, is just a tinkering around the edges that prevents migrants from claiming benefits for years, and allows Britain to cap the number of people entering the country. It really doesn’t make much of a difference at all.

We will still will be bound by the European Court of Human Rights, pay our monthly millions to be part of the EU, and whilst the Euro zone members make important financial decisions we will now be left out of them and probably still be asked to pay towards any bailouts such as those for Greece and Ireland etc.

I never got to vote to join the EC in the 70’s.

That was the Economic Community, a joining together of countries for free trade without tariffs between members and a supposed opening up of the many countries nationalised utilities and businesses.

It was not a vote on whether we should join a European Super State, with its own Defence Force, a 3 tier decision-making system where the most democratic body, the European Parliament, has the least power.

People complain about the number of EU migrants that enter Southern Europe and are then just waved through multiple  counties until they reach Germany or Calais hoping to get to England. However we must remember that about 1.8m Britons live in Europe, with Spain boasting an expat population of just over 1m UK citizens.

Of the Britons living in Europe, 400,000 are claiming a state pension from the UK.

The question is, if free movement is good for us, what will happen when it is shut down. We may be able to control the number of migrants from the EU entering the country but what will happen to the retired wrinkled leather tanned grannies of the Costa Del Sol?

leather tanned grannies
An ex Pat, enjoying the Sun and beach

Will these ex pats all have to go through some sort of immigration test as if they were trying to get green cards in the US?

I cannot even imagine many Brits passing any part of a test that expected them to know the hosts language and culture.

It could be that we manage to make arrangements that doesn’t affect Brits with jobs OR money from going out to live in the EU however I am guessing a lot of EU members are really pissed off with us at the moment for getting a “special membership deal”.

Whilst Germany and France wanted to keep us in the EU for the risk that it might fall apart, I can well imagine many newer members are thinking, why does the UK always try to get it’s own way?

From my perspective it would have been good if Cameron had reached a consensus with other members that would have reformed the EU properly.

You know basic things like make it truly democratic, removed any moves to keep pushing for a super state, restored it back to a trading block that was good for business without all the imported laws and of course stopped all the massive fraud which has prevented a real audit for many years now.

There are lots of things wrong with the EU and the constant push towards a superstate is one of them. One of the original ideas was to try and make a block of states that was an equal balance to the power of the US but instead we have just turned into the USA’s cross pond bitch.

So I believe Cameron’s almost Chamberlain like “Peace in our time”, excitement at having got his deal, is going to bite him in the butt just as Chamberlain found out when the NAZI’s ignored his magic bit of paper and rolled across Europe.

This is small fry being pumped with steroids to make it seem like a massive change in our relationship with the EU. In reality it is some small changes around the edges.

If ever someone had made a worthless deal and wanted to sell it to the public as if it was a magic exemption from all the EU’s meddling in our lives, like the EU Human Rights Law that protects us from this Police State country over reaching in its step, then this is it.

When I was younger I liked being able to hop on a plane and just go to Spain to live. I had no job but that didn’t matter, free movement of people and workers meant we could all go where we wanted when we wanted without border checks, citizenship tests and green cards.

For those who have never lived abroad and have only gone to Ibiza on your holiday or maybe a trip to Paris on Valentines day then you won’t really think about the difference between a holiday and actually being able to pick up your bags and literally run off to any part of Europe with no questions asked.

However whilst Spain has always been the old stereotyped destination for our UK retirees it seems over recent year the US, Australia and the rest of the world have overtaken Europe for the primary destination for those with one foot in the grave.

The top 10 destinations for Britons to retire to are now:

  • Channel Islands: 73,030
  • Germany: 96,938
  • France: 172,806
  • Ireland: 253,605
  • South Africa: 305,660
  • New Zealand: 313,850
  • Spain: 381,025
  • Canada: 674,371
  • United States of America: 758,919
  • Australia: 1,277,474

So maybe the modern “cultured” Brit is changing their retirement plans and thinking a bit more further than the Costa Del Crime nowadays.

Spain has always been our number one destination for holidays and retirees. A place where you can enjoy the 40° heat and drink British beer in pubs frequented by famous English gangsters on the run.

So many famous British gangsters have been out to the Costa Del Sol no wonder we call it the Costa Del Crime.

However it seems we are looking wider than Med for our retirement plans – that’s if we get any pension money. I doubt I will ever see any from the thousands I have put into the system over my working career. It seems the Tories want us to work until our 80’s and the age is constantly being pushed upwards.

There have been rumblings from Tory think tanks for years now from people already on hundreds of thousands of pounds a month pensions who believe we should do voluntary work in our retirement to collect our hard earned pension.

Leaving the EU won’t stop any evil Tory plans from coming to fruition and if we want a REAL CHANGE in our democracy and the way we act in the world we should be thinking about NATO. What would we do if Turkey start a war with Russia over Syria, we would be forced to fight on their side whether they started the war by deception or not. I am more worried about World War III happening due to duplicitous NATO allies at the moment than the amount of money we pay in and get back in rebates from the EU.

We should also be thinking about how the Tories have tripled our national debt in the years they were supposedly “fixing the roof whilst the sun was shining”, and supposedly cutting the ever so important deficit. The deficit may have dropped but the total amount of debt has increased hugely due to the Tories thinking that the poorer we all are, the more money we will spend.

They have failed us. In Europe, on the world stage and most importantly at home.

Austerity hasn’t worked at all and the national debt has ballooned because of the Tories core voters (the grey brigade), will vote against anyone who dares to cut their pensions.

These take up a vast proportion of the social security budget and will undoubtedly be ignored whist the disabled and poor are forced to suffer through the bedroom tax, universal credit, and the severe lack of social housing we have in this country.

Europe has no control over these areas of our lives and if we want to sort out our country we really need to get rid of the failed Tories and try their method of printing money, not at 0% interest rates so the Banksters can lend it to us through companies like WONGA at 5,853% APR, but to invest in infrastructure, building new homes and putting people through education. If we can do it for the banks why can’t we do it for the people?

Remember we were in a much worse off state in the years after WWII. We only just finished off paying our debt to the US a few years ago under Gordon Brown. Despite that we still created the NHS, cleared the slums of London and built thousands of new houses and multiple new towns for the people moved out of London. Plus we ushered in an age of economic prosperity that latest decades.

It is only short-sighted Tory thinking that keeps us in the current trap we are in. One where bankers must be bailed out even though they should be in jail, and the poor are paying off the national debt, despite having no money.

If only we would just wipe any national debt on citizens like Iceland did to many mortgage holders that were linked to inflation. It sounds crazy but would put money in the pockets of those most likely to spend it, plus create a huge demand for goods and a rise in GDP. Having a “National Bank” that can print money as long as it’s for investment in houses and jobs could give us full employment, cheaper rent and accommodation costs and more money in the pocket to spend to increase GDP.

At the moment our whole economy, just like it was during Labours time in office, is built on the house of cards made from debt. People remortgaging houses or taking out loans to spend on goods. An unsustainable recovery. Screw the bankers who say it cannot be done. We did it for you, why can’t we do it to actually help rebuild our country?

So the question is, are people going to think with their heads or their hearts about this exit from the EU.

A lot has changed with the European project to stop a further European war after WWII, with France and Germany the two main actors in this union coming together to ensure that the rest of Europe sticks together and shows “solidarity”.

From stopping a war to free trade agreements and a central bank. Then a EU flag, courts and parliament. Then laws enforced on us which we don’t want. All whilst we pay billions to be part of a club that’s money could be better spent on hospitals and schools. That is one argument for leaving.

The problem is that war fades in people’s minds, especially those who never fought in WWII or who had family who did.

“What does the EU have to do with WWII” many people will ask.

Now that the EU project is more about creating a super state, it spies on us and hands over all bank transactions to the US as well as traces of our Internet history and anything else the NSA overlords demand. However even if we leave the EU I guess due to our “special relationship”, with the US, we would still carry on letting our GCHQ be the NSA’s bitch, so nothing would change on the police state front.

Also whilst we may collaborate as a big trading block to face China, the BRICS and North American trading blocks, can the BREXIT crew really convince us that on an economic scale we would really be better outside this trading block.

Selling tea to India, ornaments to Russia and other small manufactured products across the world is the BREXIT plan. We don’t build big things anymore. Our ship building industry is almost gone and we have offshored so many jobs that actually make things, you know jobs good for all those skilled manual workers we are trying to find jobs for, that we are just a service economy. Selling ideas, concepts and of course bank trickery.

If we leave the EU will we survive without the cheap gas and electricity we import from the EU, or will we get extra tariffs put on them putting us even further into debt. The French/Chinese nuclear power stations that were supposed to be on their way have only just been signed off.

It will take another 20 years at least until we see these new power stations so we will be relying on our dwindling North Sea Oil stocks and imports seeing that we never really bothered investing in green energy. This is despite being an island surrounded by multiple ways of making energy from natural sources such as the sea, wind and sun. We have loads of places to put under sea turbines that use wave power and windmills off shore to take in their blustery winds. We really never tried as we suffered from a  “not in my back garden” mentality, whenever a wind farm was proposed to be build anyway near a house.

So will people even consider the financial terms of leaving or will they think what the Sun, Daily Mail and other trash papers tell them to think?

The EU is a debt ridden collection of states that turned the thumb screws on Greece, Italy and Spain all so that they could enforce austerity, increase taxes and pay back Goldman Sachs and that other evil trio, the European Bank, IMF and World Bank.

Do we want to live in a place that see’s solidarity between nations as one that involves throwing the poor to the dogs so that their rich Banksters who caused the mess can be fully compensated. Plus solidarity is not where Germany gets to bend the rules but smaller states can’t lest they risk German austerity plans as the cost of remaining in the Euro.

This financial crisis that has still not been solved since 2008 is just waiting for another explosion. When it comes it will make 2008 look like a picnic.

Will the UK, the hub of banksters from the terrorist supporting, Mexican drug dealing, al-Qaeda funding HSBC to the corrupt Barclay’s brothers, really be better inside or out when the next economic explosion occurs.

As the City of London is basically it’s own country within a country, where the leaders of the companies and banks get to sit on their special council and can “command” the Chancellor to appear before them, they will probably see no difference in their money making schemes whether we leave or stay.

To me it all depends on who is in charge.

The Tories seem to want to put the strain of any recovery on the backs of the working class whilst rewarding their rich friends. Their recent budget removed £30 from the disabled people of our country that gave them support to get dressed and move about and instead they have given the richest more tax breaks. It is clear where their priorities lie. Voting Tory is like voting for a gang rape on yourself. Why people do it I have no idea.

On the other hand Labour, SNP, the Greens and Lib Dems feel that a more even policy that involves banksters going to jail and splitting up the banks between Casinos and Savings is called for. On top of that more measures that don’t punish the poor but instead help them climb up the ladder whilst the rich who have become more wealthy in the last 5+ years are made to contribute their fair share.

Whether they will actually stick to their words is a totally different matter. We just have to look at the Lib Dems when they got their taste of power to see how power corrupts and good promises become faded memories.

So what will make you vote yes or no when the time comes?

EU Democracy or the lack of it?

The prospect of war?

Finance and austerity?

Migration?

Not being held to account to the European Convention of Human Rights (an act the Tories wrote after WWII to show how civilised we are)

Or something else?

Let me know.

• French riot police battle 1,700 migrants desperate to reach Britain
• Policeman in hospital after being hit with stone ‘by Sudanese man’
• Chaos on both sides of the tunnel set to continue into another week
• New measures to give powers to landlords to evict illegal immigrants
• Failed asylum seekers with children to be stripped of benefits
• Kent pays migrants’ £150 Dover-to-London cab fares Some news from today from Calais, more can be found at www.telegraph.co.uk

Responding to the latest reports from Calais, Labour’s Shadow Immigration Minister David Hanson MP said:

The Government seriously need to get a grip on this situation. A series of panicky announcements on policies that were planned before this crisis emerged just won’t cut it. Telling landlords to act as a second tier border force and removing support from asylum seekers already in our country will not stop so many desperate people putting themselves and others in danger to get across the border.

This needs a careful and considered international response. The government should be focused on leading pan-European efforts to stop people crossing the Mediterranean, then making their way to Britain’s borders, instead of using a series of re-announcements as a distraction.

However the The European Commission has appealed to Britain to show “solidarity” and take more migrants under Jean Claude-Juncker’s controversial quota scheme. Mina Andreeva, Juncker’s spokesman, said the situation in Calais has “deteriorated” and co-operation between the French and the UK is welcome but she said the crisis proves that “all” EU member states need to take part in a scheme that sought to resettle 40,000 migrants across the continent to ease the pressure on Italy and Greece, which are taking the lion’s share of those arriving across the Mediterranean.

Britain (of course – seeing we created most of the mess in Africa e.g Libya) has opted out from the scheme, as is it right under the special carve-outs given to the UK and Denmark when it comes to EU justice and home affairs rules.

Henri Guaino, a lawmaker from the opposition French right-wing party Les Republicains, called on the UK to “do their share”, saying:

There is no reason for these people to be stored – if I may say this because it’s almost that – in France. It cannot go on like this. The situation is fairly simple. Migrants come to Calais to get to England. England does not want them. Therefore the migrants pile up in Calais and try by whatever means they can to reach England.

Ukip’s Nigel Farage had to join into the debate on migrants with the following tweet

What happens when an illegal migrant reaches the UK?

What happens when the migrants reach the UK

French migrants rush UK border guards to enter the country

  • If discovered, they are normally dealt with by police while any criminal investigation is carried out. If judged to be an immigration matter, it is passed to the Home Office.
  • Then what?
  • They are questioned about their reasons for entering the UK. If deemed to be in the UK illegally (and they do not claim asylum) they are deported
  • Where are they detained?
  • The obvious destination for those arriving from Calais is the immigration removal centre in Dover, but there are 12 centres in the UK.
  • What if someone claims asylum?
  • They are detained or granted temporary release while a decision is made.
  • How many are making it across the Channel?
  • In the five weeks from the start of June, more than 400 immigrants were found by British police hiding in vehicles or trains. As many as 148 are thought to have reached Britain on a single day in July.

200 Migrants breaching Eurotunnel fences to get into Britain

And what gets me the most is that our benefit system is not exactly the best in Europe anyway. A lot of migrants flock to London where the prices are the highest and a jobseekers allowance or income support of £140 a fortnight would literally get you nowhere.

It may be a lot of money back in the migrants homeland of Sudan or Libya but over here with high fuel costs, high rent, high food and other costs it is nothing. It was nothing when I was on it – one day up the pub usually – only because I lived at home when I had just left college.

However if you look at Germany’s benefit system, there are two levels depending on whether you have been working or haven’t or have come to the end of the first section which states:

If the claimant has no children, they receive 60 percent of their previous net earnings. If caring for children under 18, this rises to 67 percent. This benefit is payable for 90 to 360 days, depending on the length of previously insured employment and age. A full year’s unemployment benefit is received if the person has worked for two calendar years or more (18 months for those aged over 55).

That means myself, who has worked for the last 10+ years without a break would get my whole years salary for the first year! That is way more than £140 * 12 (£1,680) a good few dozen times more. The more you earn, the more you get when your unemployed, this is how it should be. If you are living a more expensive lifestyle due to the amount of money your job was bringing in then you would need a lot more money to survive on wouldn’t you. Figures taken from: germany.angloinfo.com Here it’s a fixed £140 whether you were a McDonalds worker or high-flying city stock broker! Then after this first year OR if you have never worked OR worked at least one day in Germany and for at least 360 days over 3 years in your last EU country of residence you get the following.

Subsistence allowance (Arbeitslosengeld II)

This allowance is lower than ordinary unemployment benefit and is payable when the claimant cannot receive full benefit or their period of benefit has come to an end, but they are still fit to work and registered as unemployed. Whether or not a person can claim for Arbeitslosengeld II will depend on savings, spouse’s earnings and life insurance. A set amount is paid for those requiring social assistance (about €350 per month). Claimants must attend training courses, and be ready to step into any job offered them by the Arbeitsamt, even a very low paid one. Exceptions to this rule are sometimes allowed on mental, physical or psychological grounds or in cases where pay rates are deemed immorally low.

Exactly how much social assistance an individual receives depends on several factors, such as number and age of children as well as marital status.

So €350 is about £245.97 and more than two fortnights £140 however at least Germany has the logic to split their system up so that people who need more get more. How it treats migrants and asylum seekers I don’t know but for David Cameron to claim people cross deserts and seas just to claim our generous benefit system really pisses me off.

In my area if you are NFA (No Fixed Abode – Homeless) it doesn’t even put you on the priority list for housing! You have to be dying (with less than a year to live) or seriously disabled to get a place om our register. I was on it then I got kicked off after reaching enough points to bid on places saying single men should be able to look after themselves – or words to those affect.

If you are lucky enough to have already had a place to stay and are made unemployed you can claim housing benefit but this is being slashed by our caring loving Tory government. Anyway I just thought I would break it down for you about what is happening on this side of the pond regarding the masses of people trying to get into the country.

Western hypocrisy in Ukraine

Western hypocrisy in Ukraine

darkpolitricks.com

By Dark Politricks

The recent “riots” in Eastern Ukraine by people who want to federalize Ukraine or let their part of the country join Russia like Crimea is just another example of the hypocrisy of the west.

Remember when this was all going on in Kiev.

Peaceful “demonstrators” just exercising their democratic right to protest by pepper spraying and even shooting Ukrainian police officers in the streets?

Ukrainian protester sprays pepper spray at policeman

Protestors defy ban on protesting by the Ukraine government

At that time the western nations, the IMF, EU and the axis of war (US/UK/France) were all de-crying the crackdown on “peaceful” protesters who have now been found out to be shooting from the top of buildings at both protesters AND policemen causing the tension to increase to boiling point.

We now have evidence of this from a leaked phone call between the EU Foreign Minister and the Estonian Foreign Minister which suggests that the western nations KNEW that the snipers killing the innocent people in Kiev were actually from a sub-sect of the Maidan group of protesters.

The Estonian Foreign Minister also recalled a conversation with a doctor who treated those shot by snipers in Kiev. She said that both protesters and police were shot at by the same people. Paet stressed:

“And second, what was quite disturbing, this same Olga [Bogomolets] told as well that all the evidence shows that the people who were killed by snipers from both sides, among policemen and then people from the streets, that they were the same snipers killing people from both sides,

Ashton’s response was  “Well, yeah…that’s, that’s terrible.”, after which Paet continued:

“So that she then also showed me some photos she said that as a medical doctor, she can say that it is the same handwriting, the same type of bullets, and it’s really disturbing that now the new coalition, that they don’t want to investigate what exactly happened”.

At the end she seemed shocked by the claims but not exactly surprised.

“There is now a stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovich, but it was somebody from the new coalition”, said Foreign Minister Urmas Paet to Catherine Ashton, who replied:

“I think we do want to investigate. I mean, I didn’t pick that up, that’s interesting. Gosh”.

She even says “yeah”, when he mentions this, and it seems clear that some knowledge is foreknown about a false flag coup to overthrow out the legitimate President of the country.

You can listen to the two leaders discuss the false flag attacks below.

False Flag Shooting in Kiev

Or read more about it here.

As Michel Chossudovsky says in his article: The leaders of EuroMaidan ordered the shooting of their own supporters.

We are dealing with a diabolical agenda: the deaths of protesters in Maidan square triggered by Neo-Nazi elements (supported by the West) were used to break the legitimacy of a duly elected government.

Underlying US foreign policy and CIA intelligence ops, civilian deaths are often triggered deliberately with a view to accusing the enemy and demonizing a foreign head of State or head of government

The Maidan sniper killings are, in this regard reminiscent of what occurred in Syria in mid-March 2011 at the very outset of the insurgency: civilians were killed by rooftop snipers in the border city of Daraa. The resulting casualties –without further investigation– were blamed on the government of Bashar al Assad. It was subsequently confirmed by Israeli and Lebanese press reports, that the snipers were hired mercenaries.

People like Catherine Ashton and John McCain who stood in the middle of “Freedom Square” hand in hand with fascists and neo-nazis are hypocrites and liars.

John McCain Oleh Tyahnybok
Here is John McCain in the Ukraine meeting (on his right) far right leader Oleh Tyahnybok in Independence Square in Kiev, Ukraine, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

The people they stood with are now in power after an illegal coup that was authorized by the west.

These are the same Senators who take money from AIPAC and other pro-Israeli groups with one hand, and shake the hands of anti-Semites with their other. All the while Jews are leaving Ukraine scared for their safety due to some of the lesser civilized members of the new power structure that was imposed by force.

This new government kicked out a legitimate leader, Viktor Yanukovych, and replaced the whole government with a number of people who are not even supposed to be allowed to work with EU countries, especially Germany under their strict anti-Nazi laws.

An example would be the ex Chechen fighter and nationalist leader Aleksandr Muzychko, who fought against Russian troops in Chechnya and recently branded his Kalashnikov gun in front of regional authorities begging them to “try to take it away from me”.

He is also on record for making openly anti-Semitic statements as are many of the far right of the “Maidan protestors” who have been caught out by leaked phone calls and evidence showing that they were the only people on top of a building one day in any position to fire into a hotel housing RT.com reporters as well as shooting policeman down below. What better way to get a populace angry with your government?

However now they have their coup, and thrown out a legitimate leader they seem to be no longer useful to the Wests milking machine e.g the IMF that wants to double gas prices, reduce benefits by half and increase taxes.

Some of these people who helped the ex President have even turned up dead like Olexander Muzychko.

Olexander Muzychko, an ultranationalist wanted for war atrocities, was recently killed by Ukrainian special forces in a sanctioned execution by Government officials.

Muzychko was put on an international wanted list on suspicion of torturing and murdering at least 20 Russian servicemen in Chechnya in the early 2000s. After surfacing in Ukraine, he was arrested in absentia by a court in southern Russia earlier this month.

The Right Sector, along with Muzychko, is a major ally of the neo-Nazi Svoboda party led by Oleh Tyahnybok, a member of the new Ukrainian government and an active promoter of the ideas of Stepan Bandera a Ukrainian who collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II.

Good credentials! He was involved in mass atrocities in the wartime ethnic cleansing of Poles, Jews and Russians. Just the person you want to help you get into government but not stay inside too long I suspect.

Russia has described last month’s uprising in Kiev as an illegitimate fascist coup, which resulted in Moscow taking steps to protect ethnic Russians in Ukraine.

The people of Crimea held a legal and internationally verified referendum which showed over 96.8% of the people in the Russian Black Sea Port region wanted to become part of Russia.

Crimea’s regional parliament has declared independence and applied to become part of the Russian Federation, a day after people in the Black Sea peninsula voted overwhelmingly to leave Ukraine in a referendum that most of the world has condemned as illegal.

However why is it illegal for Kosovo to vote to leave Serbia, a part of the country for hundreds of years or Scotland to order a referendum to leave the United Kingdom.

Could it be because the result doesn’t fit with the Wests ideas of “who” should be ruling which part of the world?

You only have to look at the first democratic election in Palestine to see the reaction when Hamas won!

A split country, in-fighting between Sunnis and Shiites, and a big distraction as the opposition fight each other instead of their real enemy.

However this “illegal” and “unsanctioned” move by a group of pro-Russians was seen and reported by the west as Russia invading Ukraine!

Forget the fact that since Ukraine gained independence the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Navy personnel who run it have been allowed to carry arms and wear military uniform in Crimea for years.

These Russian military men were not invaders but sanctioned and legitimate troops who have been based in this new region of Russia under an agreement signed by both countries years ago.

Now the shoe is on the other foot

Pro-Russian demonstrators in the east of Ukraine are demanding their rights and protection of freedom from the new Ukrainian government who has threatened to send in specialist “anti terrorist” squads to oust these domestic extremists!

These people have taken over police stations and other government facilities and Russia has warned Ukraine not to do something stupid like send in the army and kill their own people.

Most of the demonstrators want to stay Ukrainian BUT in a Federal Union where each area could decide their own fate. They do not want to be in sock to the EU and permanent debt to the IMF,

Pro Russian Demonstrators
Pro Russian demonstrators demand their rights be heard

Pro Russian Demonstrators take over a Police Station
Russian demonstrators take over a Ukrainian Police Station

If the pro-Russian protesters and armed militants do not leave the occupied buildings in some cities of Ukraine, the illegal government other-thrown by a pro EU mob has threatened a full-scale anti-terrorist operation.

So far the deadlines have passed and no Ukrainan forces have been deployed – thank God!

But what would happen if Ukraine DID send in their troops?

Well I guess the following:

  • Lots of unarmed pro-Russian demonstrators will be killed. They will be labelled by the Western media as terrorists and domestic extremists trying to remove any sympathy from them.
  • The western mouthpieces would spew out their propaganda about this being a fight for freedom and liberty and the rule of law – totally forgetting they supported an illegal coup just months ago,
  • Stories like the one from the New York Times describing how bad life in South Ossetia and Abkhazia in 2008 has been since Russia took control will fill the papers, true or not.
  • Russia would invade the Ukraine like they did in South Ossetia and Abkhazia in Georgia in 2008 to “protect” their “Russian speaking” people who consider themselves by all means “Russian”.
  • NATO would do Fuck All but make loud noises and try to pass resolutions in the UN which will be blocked by Russia and China (at least) in the Security Council.
  • If a sensible resolution was put down that let the people of the Ukraine decide for themselves whether they wanted to be run by an illegal government, a newly elected Federal government with a new constitution or split the country in two then that would make sense and let the people of the country decide their fate.
  • In the event that the latter option is taken the western part of Ukraine will  suffer the austerity policies the IMF and EU has already imposed on Greece, they would see unemployment soar, taxes rise and most importantly have their gas turned off due to unpaid bills to Russia.
  • What does Ukraine offer the west? Nothing really but land near the Russian border. Land that was called the “bread basket of the west” and if managed properly it could feed the world ten times over. Russia would have to invade the Eastern part of Ukraine to prevent a NATO county on its doorstep, something which was promised by Reagan to never happen if the Soviet Union fell.
  • We in Europe would probably impose sanctions on Russia which would in the end back fire on us. We would have our own gas pipelines that bypass Ukraine cut off and Russia would just sell it on to China, India and other countries with high demand and lots of cash.
  • If we did actually go to a “hot” war we would probably end up nuclear and say goodbye to the world. No one wants that but a war can start over any little misjudgment.  If you don’t know the story UK pop singe James Blunt, whilst a soldier in Kosovo, was ordered to “destroy” and “attack” the Russian forces that had entered the country and taken  over an airfield by General Wesley Clark. Thankfully British soldiers have some brains and think nuclear war is a bad idea and James Blunt refused the order. Luckily he was backed up British Gen Sir Mike Jackson, who said: “I’m not going to have my soldiers be responsible for starting World War III.”
  • After a hot war starts who knows what would happen but by guess is we would back down like pussies and rightly so, letting Russia take control over areas of Ukraine who have always wanted to be Russian and not Nazi collaborators.

So can you see the hypocrisy here?

We allow an elected President to be forced out of power by an armed fascist and nationalist filled group of people. Some of whom have already been knocked off as they are no longer useful to the cause.

We then declare this victory as some kind of sign that people power works. Yet when the Eastern Ukrainians do exactly the same thing in support of Russia we call them terrorists, domestic extremists and Russian soldiers in disguise trying to stir up trouble. As of yet I haven’t seen any photos of Putin or his deputies in Eastern Ukraine standing on boxes with arms in the air urging the people on like John McCain did in Kievb.

However none of that matters. Putin is the great baddie of this play and he will always be portrayed as such if you get your news from the BBC, FOX, MSNBC or CNN. I am not for one minute saying RT.com is unbiased in its reporting but it is worth getting an alternative view on events before making your mind up.

Just don’t believe talking twats like Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity for your own view-point. Have a read of RT.com and get some opposing views.

It might just stop a war.

Nick Clegg v Nigel Farage debate the EU

April 4, 2014

Nigel Farage v Nick Clegg – The European Union In Or Out debate

By Dark Politricks

Over the last two weeks Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg have been debating whether we should leave the EU on radio and TV. Of course you might have missed these debates on TV as they haven’t really been highlighted in the TV schedules.

The leader of the UKIP, Nigel Farage, the bloke you would have a pint with but doesn’t have a single MP in the UK Parliament debated Nick Clegg, the deputy PM, who will have hardly any MP’s after the next election due to his broken promises and propping up of Tory austerity policies.

Two non-entities you may say, except the EU elections are coming up soon and UKIP always do very well in them and will undoubtedly probably beat both the Lib-Dems and the Tories if current polling is correct.

The sad thing is that with such an important question to be debated the leaders of the real two parties who have actual  influence in our national parliament couldn’t be bothered to debate such an important question.

Our PM, David Cameron, and the cartoon character that calls himself the leader of the opposition Ed Milliband didn’t even think it was worth debating the EU and letting the British public have their opinions on whether it is better to be in or out of the EU.

For those of you who missed it the first debate was on LBC radio and shown on Sky News and the second debate was on the BBC.

From polls carried out after the debates Nigel Farage won by a ratio of 3 to 1.

A YouGov poll: Farage 68%, Clegg 27%
A ICM poll: Farage 69, Clegg 31%

Read more about the results of the debate here.

Who won the debate?

The European Union In Or Out debate

For your nightly entertainment I have included some videos to the debates so that you can watch the two debates between Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg.

One political figure on the rise and one on the slide to the bottom. I will let you decide which is which.

One, Nigel Farage, is perfectly happy to be the outspoken, friendless EU MP who wants to actually do himself out of a job by shutting the whole shop down.

Nick Clegg on the other hand who has never had a real job apart from politiking at various levels (unlike Nigel) will cling onto the EU whether they turn into a EU super-state, with its own army, forcing NATO on broke countries it tricks into joining such as the Ukraine.

All whilst people in Spain and Greece and even Ireland and the UK suffer due to the EU being so broke and harsh austerity measures being imposed on us.

Remember Nick Clegg used to work in the EU so he probably is expecting to get a cushy paycheck once he is kicked out of Westminster at the next election.

He has already proven himself a liar by breaking the one promise that his key constituents (students and the young) voted for him in the last election e.g no increases in University Student Fees, plus the much vaunted “Freedom Bill” which turned from a fine bill restoring the public’s rights in a UK Police State to a law that prevented cars from being clamped.

In fact you can compare the original Freedom Bill here which was very quickly taken down from the Liberal Democrats websites as soon as they realized their “Protection of Freedoms Bill” was a watered down piece of toilet paper!

Whatever you think about the EU, I have never had a vote on whether I wanted to be in the EU, let alone the common market, the Euro, The Lisbon Treaty or any of the other treaties that have taken our national powers away from us bit by bit over the last few decades.

Therefore whether you want to be in Europe or not you should at least want a say in your own future.

Whatever you think about these two politicians at least they have the balls unlike the other leaders of the Labour and Tory party to talk in public about such important matters.

Watch the debates on my main site and leave your comments on the page below.

If the Ukraine was the USA what would happen?

February 28, 2014

If the Ukraine was the USA what would happen?

By Dark Politricks

Can you imagine if what was occurring in the Ukraine was happening in the USA or the UK?

Policeman killed by ultra nationalists and anti-Semite thugs being put into positions of power with the help of AIPAC bought and paid for US politicians such as John McCain?

It just goes to show how the US and Europe doesn’t give a shit about using nationalist thugs and anti-semites to carry out their agenda when it means they can ebb away at Russian borders. However at home, if you dare criticise Israel you are called an anti-semite – square than one if you please?

Here is proof of John McCain meeting ultra nationalist far right leaders in Kiev recently. What right does a US politician have to enter another country and demand changes in leadership?

John McCain Oleh Tyahnybok
Here is John McCain in the Ukraine meeting (on his right) far right leader Oleh Tyahnybok in Independence Square in Kiev, Ukraine, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Can you imagine if Russian politicians turned up in Washington or London and stood with the BNP or Klu Klux Klan and demanded that the constitutionally elected President of the country stood down so that ultra nationalist thugs could take their place?

Here is one of the thugs John McCain and EU leaders want to put into positions of power threatening officials in their offices. Aleksandr Muzychko a radical Ukrainian nationalist leader lashed out at a local prosecutor with obscene language, punches and threats claiming the prosecutors were “sabotaging” their job.

“Shut the f**k up, you b*tch! Your f**king time is over,” he uttered, threatening to rope the clerk like a dog and lead him to the people on Maidan.

This “activist,” is an ex Chechen fighter who fought against Russian troops and recently branded his Kalashnikov in front of regional authorities goading them and threatening them to “try to take it away from me”.

He is also on record for making openly anti-Semitic statements as are many of the far right “protestors” who have been killing and beating policeman, shooting at politicians and rioting on a daily basis for months now.

Here are just a few photos of “demonstrators” attacking the Ukraine police.

If the US can pinch the noses of peaceful students sitting on the ground to spray pepper spray down their throats, then can can you imagine the response of US police if protesters sprayed pepper spray at THEM, or battered them as they are doing in the Ukraine by Occupy or Tea Party protesters?

They would have been shot on the spot.

Ukrainian protester sprays pepper spray at policeman

Protestors defy ban on protesting by the Ukraine government

Protester kicks rank of Ukrainian police

Now I am not saying that the Ukrainian president who is on the run and has just given a press conference on RT.com is perfect.

He banned protests and allowed policemen to kill many of the protesters. However the people who the west is trying to put into power so that they can milk their assets and drain them through IMF loans are no better.

This whole scheme has been devised to split Ukraine from Russia who would offer them a much better deal than the EU is offering and get them into the western sphere of influence and most importantly NATO.

This was something that the USA explicitly stated would NOT happen when Gorbachev and Reagan had their meetings and the Soviet Union split up.

The west promised not to encroach on Russian areas of influence but this has blatantly been broken as the USA realised they were the only super power and believed they could do as they pleased despite previous agreements.

First Georgia became a US proxy after a “colour” revolution, and with US/Israeli help tested the Russian military when they killed peace keepers and bombed the breakaway territory of South Ossetia during the start of the Chinese Olympics in 2008. However Russia proved the west wrong and humiliated them in this illegal war and now half of South Ossetia is under Russian control.

The West then moved into the southern states of Russia, building air bases, using their proxy Islamic terrorists to stir up trouble and then invading Afghanistan to get even more air bases, surrounding Russia, plus the plan of an oil pipeline to rival the Russian one bringing gas and oil to Europe and ports in the south.

It just amazes me that people like Catherine Ashton (EU) and John McCain, who are against nationalism at home are prepared to enter a sovereign country, talk to neo-nazis (people they would never talk to at home), and stir up trouble in a country they have no business being in.

If I was Putin, I would invade Ukraine right now, at least the eastern half and Crimea who wants to stay connected to Russia, and then see what balls the NATO agitators really have.

I cannot believe the US or Europe want to cause shit with Russia when they need their help with Syria and Iran so I doubt they would do anything if that happened apart from make loud noises and thump their chests.

However Putin can see his country being surrounded by the west (NATO) and from a historical perspective (watch Oliver Stones untold history of the United States) if you want some context. The Russians are paranoid to the extreme about being invaded due to being attacked so many times in the past.

Remember whilst the UK and US lost less than a million men in World War II, Russia lost over 20 million! Whatever you are taught in school about World War II, the US/UK did not win the war in Europe, Russia did. They beat us to Berlin and they destroyed the majority of the German army.

Also they were invaded by the Germans twice in the 20th century (World War I and II) and before that by Napoleon.

There is a saying in Russia, “give a German a gun and before long they will turn it at Russia”. If you don’t know your history then you should note that when Germany invaded the Ukraine in WWII, many Ukrainians treated them as liberators and even joined their ranks to fight the Soviets.

Therefore the neo-nazi element in the Ukraine has been around for a long time and Russia has a right to fear it.

If the west is so keen to allow neo-nazis to take power in a state that they want to join NATO and the EU then we must ask ourselves, are we becoming a fascist empire or do we just have no morals when it comes to taking over countries by any means necessary.

For more info read about Gladio 2 (Sibel Edmonds) and how the US used nationalists to other throw regimes in the 80’s and 90’s and then changed to Islamic extremists when it suited them (al-Qaeda, al-Nusra Front etc).

Why Do The Icelandic People Hate Gordon Brown So Much?

November 9, 2013

Why Do The Icelandic People Hate Gordon Brown So Much?

By Dark Politricks

If you follow me on twitter at @darkpolitricks you will know I have just had a few days in Iceland. It was on my bucket list of things to do before I die and I had some cash so why not. I just wish I brought a video camera or better camera as the amount of rants I heard from taxi drivers about Gordon Browns actions during the Icelandic banking collapse could have filled 60+ minutes.

Gordon BrownI had to get taxis as standing around in minus 10C waiting for a bus that will most likely drive past you isn’t much fun. However I am glad I did. Not only was every single taxi driver able to speak perfect English but they are on the ball when it comes to politics, international relations and how the world really works.

Every single person I talked to was sick to the teeth of Gordon Browns action to use anti-terrorism laws to freeze Icelandic money in British banks. Not only did this help worsen the economic crisis in Iceland but it made the Icelandic people think they had been betrayed by a friend and ally.

If you don’t know, Iceland kept the Brits alive during World War II by sending over fish for us to eat whilst all our trans Atlantic ships were being destroyed by German U-Boats. A little known fact is that per capita, Iceland lost the most people in the war, more than Russia, more than the Jews and more than the USA and UK combined. They only have a population of 320,000 (now), so a lot less back then, so you can see how many a few thousand people’s deaths would compare to the total population.

Iceland suffered their economic crisis between October 2008 and the 31 August 2011, which was the day where the international bailout support programme led by the IMF officially ended.

The economic crisis revolved around a few Icelandic banks which were offering stupidly high rates of interest which attracted many foreign investors including many UK local authorities. Our dear leader of the time, Gordon Brown, had told them to invest their money in the highest paying interest accounts they could find. The Icelandic banks were offering high rates and were thus used by many.

The problem was that these rates of interest were totally unrealistic and there was no security for screw ups. In the UK we get up to £85,000 protected if the bank goes bust. So the Government bails small account holders out up to that sum. However Iceland failed to do this for foreign investors and it sent Brown and co fuming.

Every taxi driver I spoke to said that anyone with half a brain cell could see these banks high interest schemes would fail in the end and they eventually did. However Gordon Brown was having none of it. The UK along with the Dutch, demanded that Iceland pay back all the monies owed with interest or they would be thrown out the IMF.

Gordon Brown froze any Icelandic money in UK banks and used anti-terrorism laws to do so. This prompted the Iceland’s prime minister Geir Haarde to call it “a completely unfriendly act” and was disgusted that a supposedly friendly nation was calling their country terrorists.

More than 25% of the Icelandic population (over 80,000 people) signed an online petition called “Icelanders are not terrorists”. The UK responded by cancelling its scheduled patrol of the Icelandic airspace in December 2008.

As Iceland has no standing army of its own it relies on other NATO nations to take turns in protecting it. The UK pulled out of this agreement leaving Iceland vulnerable to attack.

Iceland basically stuck two fingers up at these threats, kicked their whole government out when they seemed to bend over to the demands and took matters into their own hands by voting in a coalition government led by the Social Democratic Alliance and the Left-Green Movement.

They even won a court case in the court of the European Free trade Area, when the UK and Holland took Iceland to court over the failure to payback depositors in the failed banks. The court ruled on the 29th January 2013 in favour of the Icelandic banks and saved the country from having to pay back billions to foreign savers.

The EFTA court dismissed an application by the EFTA surveillance authority, which claimed that Iceland had failed to comply with an obligation to ensure compensation of a minimum €20,000 to Icesave depositors in the UK and Netherlands. Over €6.7 billion was owed to UK and Dutch investors and whilst the UK paid back the investors out of their own tax payers money, they then demanded that Iceland was to pay back the money to them.

However logic and reason won the day and when Iceland’s President’s Olafur Grimsson refused to sign an amended law on repayment he forced a national referendum on the issue and 94% of Icelanders rejected the move to payback the cash.

The judges have sided with Iceland in the matter and it was plainly obvious that the rates of interest were unsustainable and a payback to foreign depositors was unfeasible. The Iceland banks are actually paying back some of the money by selling off assets so that people won’t lose out – it is just the unrealistic rates of interest that won’t be given back to savers.

At the time the crisis resulted in massive migration from Iceland yet Iceland’s economy stabilized under the government of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, and GDP actually grew by 1.6% in 2012. However many Icelanders remained unhappy with the state of the economy and government austerity policies. In 2013 they voted back in the same people who were in power during the crisis, the centre-right Independence Party but in coalition with the Progressive Party.

Relative to the size of its economy, Iceland’s systemic banking collapse was the largest suffered by any country in history. The amount of money owed by the 3 Icelandic banks taken into national ownership was equal to more than 11 times Icelandic GDP.

They also threw a load of banksters into prison – can you see a trend here? These people included:

  • Baldur Guðlaugsson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, who was sentenced to two years probation by the District Court of Reykjavík for insider trading.
  • Aron Karlsson was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the District Court of Reykjavík for defrauding Arion Bank in real estate dealings.
  • Lárus Welding, CEO of Glitnir, and Guðmundur Hjaltason, Managing Director of Corporate Banking of Glitnir, were sentenced to 9 months in prison by the District Court of Reykjavík for a major breach of trust.
  • Friðfinnur Ragnar Sigurðsson, Glitnir employee, was sentenced to 1 year in prison by the District Court of Reykjanes for insider trading.
  • Styrmi Þór Bragason, President of MP Bank, was sentenced to 1 year in prison by the Supreme Court for breach of trust.

The other thing to note is that whilst Ireland and Greece are now suffering like hell due to their Governments subservience to the banksters and their German EU masters Iceland is recovering well.

Instead of loading future generations up to the eyeballs with huge debt, and suffering serve austerity like many European countries Iceland is well on the way to recovery.

They have had one of the fastest economic recoveries on record. They stuck to their guns and told the banksters to fuck off. This is a lesson others should follow.

GDP of Nordic countries
GDP of Nordic countries including Iceland from 2000 to 2007

Not only do the Icelandic people do things their way, but they are the leaders in the world for press freedom and Internet freedom.

Everywhere I went, whether it was the airport, the bus from the airport, the hotel, pubs, clubs or restaurants, all had free WI-FI. No logons just Internet access wherever I went, it was great.

No wonder many companies who don’t want hassle from the NSA/GCHQ nexus of spy bitches base their servers there. It’s just a shame we are sucking data straight from cables and main routers and until other countries build their own Internet infrastructure the axis of spying will continue to do so.

It is also not coincidence that the owner of Lavabit, who closed his business rather than succumb to threats to spy on his customers, was told by his lawyers that Iceland was one place he could move to and setup his business to escape NSA spying and Security Letters.

You can watch his interview on RT.com below.

The fact that anti-terrorism laws were used and abused by Gordon Brown shows that their true intention was nothing to do with terror but more to do with control over people.

The same laws were used to attack an 82 year man who dared protest the Iraq war during a Labour conference. Walter Wolfgang was dragged out of the conference for daring to heckle Jack Straw and detained under the terrorism act in 2005. They were also repeatedly used by the previous Labour government to detain and question tourists and other photographers “daring” to take photos of London landmarks.

Gordon Brown was only following in the foot steps of Tony Blair, the war mongerer who took us into 4 wars, destroyed many civil liberties and did more to destroy the picture of Labour as the “peoples party” than any other Prime Minister in recent years.

However whilst the UK is languishing in debt, the Greeks are begging on the streets and the Irish are cutting back services and trying to find ways to pay back their own banking debts the Icelandic people are doing just fine.

If you don’t mind the cold, enjoy beautiful women and scenery then Iceland is one place to definitely consider going. Not only is everyone friendly but they all speak English and everyone I met was a good laugh. The fact that booze is so expensive yet the Icelandic people knock it back in gallons from 10pm to 6 am most nights must indicate that people are being paid enough to have a good time.

So whilst I had to apologise for my Governments behaviour constantly, I also let the Icelandic people know we also hated the Labour Government just as much as they do.

The fact that we are still suffering under many of Labours big brother laws, and that the farcical Protection of Freedoms Bill which promised so much when a Lib Dem idea yet turned into a “freedom from wheelclamping” bill just goes to show that none of our current political parties can be trusted when it comes to protecting our civil liberties and hard-won rights.

So just remember the next time the Daily Mail or Sun attacks the EU Human Rights Act or our PM threatens to pull out of it. We invented the thing in the first place after the 2nd world war. On top of that these rights protect you and me as well as the tiny minority of Jihadists the papers like to trot out as examples of the bill’s failure. Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater is the appropriate saying!

We don’t have a written Bill of Rights like the American’s (not that it seems to be doing much to help them anymore) so we must take what we can.

Until we get our own Bill of Rights and proper protection of free speech, without journalists boyfriends being detained at airports for revealing the massive spying our Government does on us, we should be happy for anyone who sticks up for our liberty.

The Icelandic people saw us as friends. When Gordon Brown froze their money it made it hard for them to import goods and prices shot up in their country. His act did more to harm them than the banking crisis in the first place.

The fact that a court sided with them just shows that he was in the wrong and they were right to ignore his demands.

Well done Iceland.

Is Julian Assange just a rapist trying to avoid justice?

August 20, 2012

Is Julian Assange a hero or a rapist trying to avoid justice

By Dark Politricks

After the much awaited speech given from the balcony of the very unluxurious Ecuadorian embassy by Julian Assange the other day the whole world is debating the question“Is Julian Assange a hero or a rapist trying to avoid justice“.

The text of the speech in full is at the bottom of the page but it has led commentators all around the world to denounce Julian Assange as just a sex offender trying to avoid justice whilst totally ignoring the rest of the relevant pieces surrounding his case.

Quotes about the speech:

“what was much more serious – the elephant in the room, so to speak – was Assange’s wilful failure to say anything about the actual reason that the Swedish police want to question him.” – Andy McSmith – The Independent.

“”Odious Julian Assange loved every second of his pompous balcony rant. His speech was long on egotistical claptrap, but oddly failed to mention what this extradition case is actually about — the rape of one woman and sexual molestation of another.” – The Sun

“Not since the Argentines invaded the Falklands has Britain had its tail so humiliatingly tweaked by a Latin American dictatorship. Suddenly, Ecuador is on the lips of people who previously would have struggled to find it on a map. All this merry mayhem is, of course, being orchestrated by Assange, who continues to play the British governing class for suckers.” – Melanie Phillips – Daily Mail

“He’s not going anywhere”‘ Metropolitan police officer.

In fact you would be hard pressed to find many mainstream media commentators giving a good word to Julian who is facing sexual assault charges – charges that the Ecuadorian President said the other day do not even exist on his countries law books – like many others.

Charges that relate to two WikiLeak “groupies” who had sex with Assange on consecutive nights and allowed him to have sex without a condom. They may have protested about that last bit once they found out about each other but not before and it seems a strange law to charge someone on in the first place. If we were arresting every man in the world who didn’t like wearing a condom when having sex there would be very few men left.

However it seems these constitute crimes in Sweden and many people ask why Julian doesn’t just go and face his accusers.

The answer is simple.

He is very, very afraid that the Swedes will pass him along to the the American’s who are literally frothing at the mouth at the damage he has done to their national security. First by realising tapes of their pilots cheering as they massacred a crowd of reporters and men without guns in Iraq and then the WikiLeaks release of the #Cablegate stash of US embassy emails which have made many a Middle Eastern nation look like two faced liars who say one thing in public and another to their neighbours in private.

More worryingly for Assange is the way that the presumed source of the information a Private Bradley Manning has been treated by the US military. He has been stripped naked, held in a cell for many months without anything to do and basically treated in the most horrible way possible – some even claim this constitutes torture.

He is now facing a charge of possible death or life imprisonment (if prosecutors keep their word)  for communicating national defense information to an unauthorized source and aiding the enemy. His chances do not look good.

Therefore as the UK does not extradite to countries where there is  the possibility of the death penalty and a multitude of US commentators and government employees have stated that he deserves two in the head. It is no wonder Julian is afraid of going to Sweden as he honestly believes it is a ruse to get him sent to the USA.

As no charges have actually been laid out against Assange and the Swedish police only want to “question him” it seems far fetched that in this day and age a compromise could not be made out which allowed for this questioning.

Over a hundred years ago there was this amazing invention called the telephone that allowed people at far distance from each other to communicate by voice.

In the last twenty years we have had Skype, Video Conferencing, Messenger and other tools that would allow for a full face to face interview that could be recorded, analysed and allow the Swedish police to ask their questions without any expensive plane travel.

But why should Julian Assange get special treatment you might ask.

Well he shouldn’t and the the same rules should apply to all European citizens.

The European Arrest Warrant is a joke that allows Brits to be dragged from their beds and sent of to Eastern European jails on the say so of a Polish or Greek police commander.

Just like the unfair and unbalanced UK to USA extradition treaty. Which can see British people carted off to spend long time in orange jumpsuits without any evidence being examined in a UK court first as a US citizen has the right to before extradition here. Both of these extradition treaties should be abolished ASAP.

Therefore I don’t say that Julian is just trying to avoid spurious charges that only emerged after each woman found out about the other but I say that he is blatantly scared shitless of being sent to the USA.

Also as I predicted in my last article the whole of South America is now standing in unison behind Ecuador after the British threat to storm their embassy which has only increased tension with a region that we are already having difficulty with.

From the  BBC news website.

The Union of South American Nations said it backed Ecuador after Mr Assange publicly thanked it and other South American countries for their support.

A document agreed at the Union of South American Nations meeting said it supported the country “in the face of the threat” to its London embassy.

.. in the context of the UK’s perceived heavy-handed approach to the recent question of Argentina’s renewed claim over the Falkland Islands – the British government’s reputation in South America was undoubtedly being affected by this stand-off.

As I predicted in my last article – the fact that a country with a far from clean human rights history is making supposed western liberal and free countries look like despotic dangers to world civility is a stain on our own moral standing across the world. Plus it has swelled the chest of Latin and South America to extreme proportions.

If the Brits storm the embassy they will look like criminals in the eyes of many countries – fairly or not and if they let Julian hop onto a plane to Ecuador they will look like sops in the eyes of the USA and a million Daily Mail readers eyes.

The best thing would be to come to a compromise as suggested by Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa who suggested Mr Assange could co-operate with Sweden but only if assurances were given that there would be no extradition to a third country. Any breaking of such an agreement would make the USA look like the “great Satan” Iran always claims they are and it would allow Julian to fulfill his obligations to face Swedish police questions and possible charges.

Whatever happens it looks like a farce from both sides of the argument.

Here is the full text of Julian Assange’s speech:

I am here today because I cannot be there with you today, but thank you for coming. Thank you for your resolve, your generosity and spirit.

On Wednesday night, after a threat was sent to this embassy, and police descended on this building, you came out in the middle of the night to watch over it, and you brought the world’s eyes with you.

Inside the embassy, after dark, I could hear teams of police swarming up into the building through the internal fire escape. But I knew that there would be witnesses and that is because of you.

If the UK did not throw away the Vienna Conventions the other night, it is because the world was watching and the world was watching because you were watching.

The next time somebody tells you that it is pointless to defend those rights we hold dear, remind them of your vigil in the dark before the embassy of Ecuador. Remind them how in the morning the sun came up on a different world, and a courageous Latin American nation took a stand for justice.

And so, to those brave people, I thank President Correa for the courage he has shown in considering and in granting me political asylum. And I also thank the government, and the particular Foreign Minister, Ricardo Patino, who have upheld the Ecuadorian Constitution and its notion of universal citizenship in their consideration of my asylum

And to the Ecuadorian people for supporting and defending this Constitution. And I also have a debt of gratitude to the staff of the embassy, whose families live in London, and who have been showing me hospitality and kindness despite the threats we’ve all received.

This Friday there will be an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of Latin America in Washington, DC, to address this very situation. And so I am grateful to those people and governments of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Venezuela and to all other Latin American countries who have come out to defend the right to asylum.

To the people of the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Australia, who have supported me in strength, even when their governments have not. And to those wiser heads in government who are still fighting for justice. Your day will come.

To the staff, supporters and sources of WikiLeaks, whose courage and commitment and loyalty has seen no equal.

To my family and to my children, who have been denied their father. Forgive me. We will be reunited soon.

As WikiLeaks stands under threat, so does the freedom of expression, and the health of our societies. We must use this moment to articulate the choice that is before the government of the United States of America.

Will it return to and reaffirm the revolutionary values it was founded on? Or will it lurch off the precipice, dragging us all into a dangerous and oppressive world, in which journalists fall silent under the fear of prosecution and citizens must whisper in the dark?

I say it must turn back.

I ask President Obama to do the right thing.

The United States must renounce its witch-hunt against WikiLeaks.

The United States must dissolve its FBI investigation.

The United States must vow that it will not seek to prosecute our staff or our supporters.

The United States must pledge before the world that it will not pursue journalists for shining a light on the secret crimes of the powerful.

There must be no more foolish talk about prosecuting any media organization, be it WikiLeaks or be it the New York Times.

The US administration’s war on whistleblowers must end.

Thomas Drake, and William Binney, and John Kiriakou and the other heroic US whistleblowers must — they must be pardoned and compensated for the hardships they’ve endured as servants of the public record.

And the Army Private who remains in a military prison in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, who was found by the United Nations to have endured months of torturous detention in Quantico, Virginia, and who has yet — after two years in prison — to see a trial—He must be released. Bradley Manning must be released. If Bradley Manning did as he accused, he is a hero and an example to all of us and one of the world’s foremost political prisoners. Bradley Manning must be released.

On Wednesday, Bradley Manning spent his 815th day of detention without trial. The legal maximum is 120 days.

On Thursday, my friend, Nabeel Rajab, president of the Bahrain Human Rights Center, was sentenced to 3 years for a tweet.

On Friday, a Russian band [Pussy Riot] was sentenced to 2 years in jail for a political performance.

There is unity in the oppression.

There must be absolute unity and determination in the response.

Thank you.

Will a European Revolution emerge out of the Greek tragedy

I’ve just watched a documentary about the problems facing the Greek people at the moment during these times of austerity and supposed “solidarity” between Euro nations.

Some facts from the documentary include:

  • 1 in 3 Greeks are now living below the poverty line.
  • Over 50% of young people are unemployed.
  • New measures have meant that charges for public services that were once free – for example any visit to the hospital now incurs a charge even if you are skint.
  • Whole government departments are being shut down with the poorest Greeks suffering the most. For example they have just closed down the social housing department. This is the department that manages housing for the poorest people who might have no jobs, money or place to live. I cannot even imagine living in a country without a social housing department. Thousands of people have lost their jobs and  millions of poor people will be affected by the closure of this department.
We all know the reasons for the Greek crisis but the person making the documentary didn’t seem to realise the reasons the Greek people were in the position they were.
The complaints of the people on the streets were those heard all around the world from the Occupy Movement to the real Tea Party to protest movements all across Europe.
  • Why should the poor and middle class pay for the mistakes of the Government?
  • Why are  the banks bailed out with tax payer money but then carry on with their casino banking ways. Not providing loans to small businesses whilst betting and losing millions daily on the stock exchange casino.
  • The bailouts are not for the benefit of the people suffering to pay them back they are going straight to pay off debts to other countries and banks. All the while the people suffer austerity measures and the future generations are thrown away to pay off the mistakes of the current banksters and corrupt politicians.
  • Corrupt politicians have taken the shilling to allow corporations build, permits given, eyes turned and so on even if their corrupt measures mean more suffering for the people.
  • Massive tax evasion has left a big hole which would help pay back debt straight away. From the poor to the rich tax evasion has been a national pass time according to some. Apparently 15 billion euros a year in Greece are lost through tax evasion and a new law being brought in means if even €1 is evaded the person faces jail time.

Proud people who once had jobs and money are now going to the many free charity doctors, food handout outlets and clothing swaps that have cropped up all around Greece.

People covered their faces in shame as they saw the camera as they didn’t want people to see how far they have fallen, from someone with a job and money to someone siting in a handout shelter.

The Greek circle of doom is one of debt piled upon debt, job cuts and tax increases all to stay in the magical club of prosperity the EU.

  1. Who will pay these taxes if there are no jobs?
  2. Who is going to pay to go to the hospital when you are injured but have no money?
  3. Who wants to work but can’t find any jobs because the tourism industry has collapsed and the government is decimating public service jobs?
  4. Who wants to survive on food handouts and get their clothes from charity shops and clothing swaps?

We now how the Greeks got in this mess and they should never have been let into the EU in the first place if it wasn’t for that moralist of banks Goldman Sachs helping to hide Greek debt so that they could pass EU tests.

Who went to jail for this massive fraud that has caused immense suffering and will do for years ahead?

We all know the EU was a political project and that the politicians and globalists behind the scenes want to keep it alive at all costs even if millions of people across Europe don’t want to. The Euro is a failure and a single Europe has been a politicians wet dream of politicians from Roman times, to Napoleon, Hitler and now the string pulling puppet masters of Europe.

The question is how long before these politicians realise this massive failure or new ones are elected that will demand real change?

I already know the answer never.

With their nice fat wages, pensions and benefits that are all designed to effect even the most populist politician and bring them into the “establishment fold” politicians ethics and morals are easily turned to dust. I could count on both hands the politicians I know around the world that stick to their words and vote according to their principles rather than their party line or because promises are made to benefit them personally.

If change comes to Europe it will be through a popular revolution as people can only put up with so much before they resort to kicking off.

Whatever happens in Greece will spread across Europe like wildfire. To Spain, Portugal, Italy and if the northern countries start suffering even more then I can see a popular revolution across Europe easily spreading by the younger generation as it’s the youth who’s future has been sold off to pay for the older generations mistakes.

They will take things into their own hands. There is only so much hopelessness a person can take, and a person with a head full of ideas but no outlet for them will find revolutionary groups attractive prospects for their thoughts and dreams.

We are having it bad at the moment in the UK but nothing like Greece.

However if it gets to the stage where whole European countries are going bankrupt and debt piled upon debt is seen as the only answer then we are in for major trouble and we aint seen nothing yet.

If the youth in London riot for fun, joining in looting and arson just because “they can” then imagine what it will be like if Greek austerity measures hit us full on hard like a steam train.

As the poor in Hackney watch from their council flats as the banksters continue to reap in huge rewards even as story after story of banking failures, missing billions, bad bets and hidden fraud fill the papers then they won’t stay happy for long.

When their council homes are taken away and charges increased or cut altogether for public services people rely on then it is only a matter of time.

The Euro has failed the question is how will it be dismantled by the votes of politicians or by the bare hands of the suffering people.

It was amazing to see both UKIP leader Nigel Farage and ex Labour Mayor Ken Livingstone both agree about the EU this morning on Sky News.

Both agreed that the terrible state Euope is now in is due to the following reasons:

  1. After World War II the idea was to create a United States of Europe. The people of Europe were never to be told of this plan.
  2.  Southern States, Greece, Spain, Italy etc should never have been allowed to join the euro as their economies were too out of sync with each other.
  3. Bail out after bail out for Spain, Greece, Ireland and Italy soon etc is only going to lead to decades of youth unemployment, riots on streets, and a lost decade of growth. It is better to have an orderly breakup of the Euro now than a disorderly one later. Pain is coming whatever happens therefore it is better to get it out the way now.
  4. The UK was right to not join the Euro.
  5. The UK should have a referendum and the one they were given on joining the “trading block” that the European Common Market was back then – was really a politicians blag to get us to sign up to a United States of Europe.
  6. The EU should return to a common market and nothing more. People calling for more integration are still pushing for a United States of Europe have no care about the pain the people of Europe are suffering and will suffer if they continue with their dream.

It is interesting to see both right and left wing agree on this matter and it only confirms what many “conspiracy theorists” have been saying for decades.

The Euopean plan was to create a United States of Europe to prevent Germany becoming too strong and controlling Europe again.

It is laughable to see that the road to European statehood has in fact now led to Germnay basically calling the shots and some are joking that Germany won the war in the end anyway – just 60 years after the end of the shelling of Berlin.

Even George Soros said recently

“Europe is likely to become “a German empire … it would be a German empire with the periphery as the hinterland,”

The Globalists are desperate to prop up the Euro and not let this political dream fail but they are ignoring the citizens of their countries who are demanding growth, jobs and help not tax, cuts to services and diktats from foreign parliaments.

The Germans are determined to do it their way through austerity and tight spending limits even though they were one of the first countries to break these tight guidelines in the first place.

The Greeks resent the Germans telling them what to spend their money on, asking to control their economy by seeing spending plans first and demanding auesterity and tax all the while refusing to let the European Bank become lender of last resort.

The Greeks are rioting, the Spannish are rioting how long until the Italians join them?

Some people have been seeing this coming for years and it is nice to finally realise that politicians from both sides of the political dividie in this country can now admit that the Euro has failed

It needs to be dismantled as orderly as possible otherwise it could end up in rioting and even war if we leave it to rot and decay by pushing bailout and debt on top of more debt.

We should have stuck with a free trade and maybe free movement of people treaty instead of this push by politicians against their citizens wishes to something that would never work, would ultimatley fail and is doing so right at this very moment.

Hopefully the Germans can kick Angela Merkel out of power and then put this dream of a United States of Europe to bed once and for all.It is going to happen whether she wants it to or not – let us not have another war in Europe due to political hubris.

Our arch enemy – the European Court of Human Rights

Just a short one today related to something that I read in a paper by a famous British controversial comedian Frankie Boyle.

It’s about the current furore over the European Court of Human Rights and the extradition of Abu Qatada to Jordan where he will probably be tortured – not that most UK citizens care if he was.

“When your arch enemy is a court of human rights it might be time to take a deep breath and think for a moment what that makes you” – Frankie Boyle

A nice thought provoking quote I thought.
